We divide budgerigars into two broad groups. On the one hand the “small budgerigar” which is popular as a domestic cage bird and in mixed aviaries, and on the other hand the “English” budgerigar which is bred for exhibitions. The latter is noticeably bigger and thus needs more vitamins and amino acids among other things. A separate group within the parakeet family is formed by the neophemas or grass parrots which mainly eat smaller seed varieties. With its wide range, Deli Nature has suitable mixtures for all these types of parakeet.
