Bath Sand

Taking a sand bath is natural behaviour for chinchillas, degus and gerbils. The sand bath ensures that excess moisture and skin fat are removed. Sepiolite is a natural mineral that absorbs moisture and grease. It cleans the fur, prevents tangles and is less sharp than quartz sand. A sand bath is necessary to keep the coat in optimal condition.
